That Monday, I was revisiting these thoughts about our world, the temporal reality and the true world. See Do was being very patient as I tried to understand how we move the world and how we can actually take positive control of events. I was working through these things.
Near the end of the session I asked this question “See Do, is the future set?”
And See Do, who was in a very relaxed conversational mood that morning, responded, almost a bit surprised, “No… not at all.” As though it was an odd question for me to ask.
I paused as I gave some thought to his off-hand answer, and he added, “But neither is the past…”
I was surprised by this and as I tried to do the temporal mental gymnastics to make sense of this, he said, “Nor the present…”
As I tried to gather up this idea and came to understand how this made such perfect sense, I felt that he came very close to me, almost leaning in very close, and said very clearly, “Your work… is in the present.”
With that he ended the morning session.
It slowly becomes clear. Time does not exist. There is no Time. Everything in this temporal reality is a construct built by our biological mind to agree with everything it senses. It works to make the whole… whole. It builds and maintains an apparently seamless and continuous reality along its uninterruptible arrow of Time. And by way of a bit of evidence, obviously the present is not set. Otherwise what possible effect would we, or could we, have here. It is obvious that the present is ours. Wholly ours.
The message is clear.
Your work is in the present.
